DC Is Making An Animated Injustice Movie

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has confirmed that an Injustice animated movie will be in the studio’s slate of upcoming films–spinning off the popular video game and comics franchise of the same name. A further “advanced” sneak peek of the project will be among the special features in the upcoming Blu-ray and digital releases of Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two, according to a release.

No other details, including a release date or voice cast, have been announced. But it’s a safe bet fans will take to the internet and begin speculating, predicting, and campaigning for certain voice actors to take on the many sizable roles the Injustice franchise offers from the DC Universe, a game series that prominently features storylines for characters including Batman, Superman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, and The Flash. While Injustice 3 hasn’t yet been officially confirmed to be in development, the movie could have compelling possibilities for overlaps with such a title–it’s also entirely possible that this might be a sequel to the games, or merely a retelling of the stories told in them. With a series where so much of the world is bizarro, literally anything could happen in the story.
